The Nebraska Department of Education, Office of Special Education, in partnership with ESU # , is offering Tier 1: The IEP Academy and Tier 2: What Every Special Education Leader Should Know About Supporting the IEP on August 21st & 22nd, 2023, in Trenton, Nebraska.
Target Audience: Those interested in developing IEPs that prevent conflict and increase engagement skills among participants. Tier 1 training builds foundational concepts, processes, and skills that are meant to prevent conflict and engage participation in the IEP process. Tier 2 builds upon those processes and introduces LEA reps to skills that support challenging conversations with conflict engagement skills and strategies.
In this seminar we will:
• Review key concepts, processes and skills in Tier 1
• Review core elements of the MTSS framework and how they apply to IEP development and conflict resolution
• Introduce tools for sharing conflict engagement skills and strategies with others.
