The
goal of Nebraska Educational Service Units Cooperative
Purchasing is to provide the schools of Nebraska the opportunity
to purchase the best quality product at the lowest possible
price.
The Educational Service Unit Administrators and Boards appoint
three ESU board members, three ESU administrators, and two ESU
staff representatives to serve as the administrative liaison for
the ESU's on the Board of Control.
The Board of Control awards the Fiscal Agent for Nebraska ESU
Coop through a unit wide selection process. Educational Service
Unit #17, Ainsworth, NE is currently serving as the fiscal
agent.
The state wide purchasing agreement between service units and
their school districts is coordinated by a chief executive
office, The CEO manages the program with the guidance of the
Board of Control.
Nebraska ESU Cooperative Purchasing serves 16 Educational
Service Units, who provide a statewide network of educational
opportunities to approximately 650 school districts and 300,000
students.
